Writing is good for the soul. So I've read and heard time and time again.
Through experience I can relate to that.
I kept my first diary at the age of eight. You know the one where you write a paragraph then fill the rest of the page with pictures. Oh how I wish I still had that diary!
The next series of diaries lasted for about 4 years. From the age of 14 to 18. Capturing all the ups and downs of the teens! Every now and then I page through them and enjoy a good laugh.
Besides for entertainment, journaling helps to reduce stress. You know how you sometimes say things you wish you hadn't? Well writing in the journal helps you get rid of all those gritty things of your chest without any regrets.
Writing about your feelings helps u monitor them(psychopath or not). It helps you learn more about yourself. What and who makes you tick and how to avoid the drag down drama's.
The learning curve doesn't end there. With the help of journaling you soon find out what your strengths and weakness are, familiar behavioral patterns and your genuine interests.
Journals are great for noting down your dreams and wishes. As the saying goes "A goal not written is only a wish". Journals make wishes come true!
I could go on and on about all the positive aspects of journaling, but then I'd probably bore you. This blog post in a nutshell: Journaling Is Good For YOU!
And oh once you start writing, the words flow. There's no writersblock in the journal world! No pressure either! Write when you want to, rest the pen if you need to.
Doodling! How could I forget that? Who doesn't love to doodle. Told you, once you start writing, its hard to stop. So what are u waiting for? Get out a pen and book and start jotting down your thoughts and feelings. Want a customized diary? But remember, the thing about journals is that it should always be private or else you wouldn't be completely honest with yourself, and what's the point in that?
